6. WWE (It made me a fan of wrestling... I owe them that.) I thank them for nothing. If any American promotion be in my top ten, it be WCW. Yeah, WWE had some amazing storylines in the 90's, and WCW were shit during their last years (I personally loved the 00-01 New Blood era,) but WCW's made more stars and introduced an international and high risk variety of wrestling to a new generation... over and over again. Muta, Guerrero, Vampiro... Muta. And Ron Simmons as the world champion... greatness. ~xmpx, the king of kings

Plus 1997, 2000-2001, and 2002 - 2003 (for SD! only) were really good years of wrestling.

Actually, ECW introduced the international (Hayabusa,Mens Teioh,Rey Misterio jr.,Dick Togo,Masato Tanaka, etc.) and high risk style to a new generation.WCW and WWE just tried to rip them off and take the credit for it.

Actually, ECW introduced the international (Hayabusa,Mens Teioh,Rey Misterio jr.,Dick Togo,Masato Tanaka, etc.) and high risk style to a new generation.WCW and WWE just tried to rip them off and take the credit for it. Well WCW did have Muta doing some crazy things like moonsaults back in 1989, they had Liger and Pillman pulling out state of the art high flying in '92, and the steiners and Gordy/William busting out the awesome high impact japanese style in 91-92, before ECW existed. So WCW did introduce some high risk style. Just not the hardcore stuff. ECW itself was basically Heyman trying to use the best parts of FMW, so Heyman owes a LOT to Onita and early 90's FMW.
