Alpha Death Match? Help a brother out...

I'm just wondering what makes a death match a alpha death match? Is it a special gimmick that I wasn't able to spot or is it just a name to make it seem more important as in "death match of all death matches...bitches..."?

The only time I have seen the Alpha Death Match moniker was when Kasai has his match with Numazawa which was a Razor Blade Board Alpha Male Death Match, I think the Alpha Male thing is just to add more to it.
