Smaller than NOAH, NJPW and AJPW of course, but I'd say probably around the same height as Dragon Gate or ZERO-1.

would anyone know if BJW was bigger in Japan than FMW? No, FMW was much bigger. I'd say they were number three behind AJPW and NJPW in their prime in '95. They even sold out Kawasaki Stadium (58,250 fans at the 5/5/95 show). For comparsion: BJW's biggest show was the Ante Up PPV from 2001 wich drew 11,923 fans. I'd say they're about on the same level as Zero1 and Dragon Gate today.

FMW and BJW are so different that you really cant compare the two companies, I mean on the one hand FMW used alot of explosion death matches and things that were really catching to the eye, where as Big Japan uses much more dangerous matches on a regular basis...I.E. Light Tube Death Match.
I think if BJW would have had their current product back in 98 we could have seen a death match wars between the two companies which would have been very succesfull financially.
I would consider BJW the 4th largest fed in Japan, First in the garbage category obviously.

BJW actaully draws much better than Zero-One Max, especially at Kouroken Hall, Zero-one has trouble getting it half full sometimes while BJW generally packs it, at least since 04-05. BJW is probably on the level of Dragon Gate, tied with them for 4th after NOAH, NJPW, and AJPW. Although with the current state of All Japan... who knows how much longer it'll stay that way.

Actually Dragon Gate's popularity dwindled in 2006, the product became horrible and fans got bored of it. All Japan increased their fan base big time last year, Many people including myself thought that AJPW was the most improved fed, and 2007 will probally be no diferent. Zero One Max doesnt draw well in any city.
