Mine:
Takashi Sasaki vs. Abdullah Kobayashi (200 Fluorescent Light tubes, Nail cluster Death Match, 3/31/06)
This might be the most fun I had watching a match this year. Just a brutal, violent, crazy ass deathmatch that was 10 shades of awesome. Kobayashi is my favorite BJW deathmatch guy, and he really shines in singles deathmatches. The nail bumps in this match were SICK. Watching someone try to pull the nails out of Sasaki's head at the end of this match, and they CAN’T because they're jammed in that DEEP, is one of the craziest things I've ever seen. Props to both guys for giving this title match a true "big match" feel. A hot crowd and some sick near falls only help make this match a deathmatch classic. BJW truly is having another great period right now, and like 1999 - early 2000, there really is something special going on.
So what was your BJW MOTY?

Here's my top ten, copied from a post I made at the CZW board recently:
10. Ryuji Ito & Takashi Sasaki vs. Abdullah Kobayashi & Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Naoki Numazawa & Saburo Inematsu (100 lighttubes / BJW 2/27)
9. Ryuji Ito & Takashi Sasaki vs. Jun Kasai & Naoki Numazawa (200 lighttubes / BJW 7/14)
8. Jaki Numazawa vs. Ryuji Ito (100 Lightubes / BJW 5/5)
7. Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa vs. Ryuji Ito & Takashi Sasaki (200 Lighttubes / BJW 4/28 )
6. MEN's Teioh, Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa vs. Takashi Sasaki, Abdullah Kobayashi & BADBOY Hido (100 Lighttubes / BJW 11/27) I always like deathmatches that tell a story, and this match does this very well. This match was right before the Sasaki-Numazawa title match. Numazawa tries to provoke Sasaki by taunting him, mutilating his tag partners while Sasaki is forced to watch and by stealing his moves. Sasaki gets more and more pissed towards the end wich leads to a post-match brawl. Also Hido takes out Teioh by stabbing him in the eye, but Teioh makes an awesome comeback towards the end.
5. Takashi Sasaki vs. Saburo Inematsu (100 Lighttubes / BJW 11/12) Inematsu is a newcomer in deathmatches, and I think every deathmatch fan should keep an eye on this guy. He's very creative in using his straight wrestling moveset for deathmatch spots (I marked for the lighttube polish hammer). I hope he quits K-Dojo and starts working for BJW fulltime.
4. Takashi Sasaki vs. Ryuji Ito (Super High Ladder, Fluorescent Lighttubes & Barbed Wire Hell / 09/10) Instead of going for a lighttube massacre those two tried working a match focusing on actual wrestling and huge bumps, including the highest superplex ever and the botched dragonsplash that broke Itos arms at the end.
3. Jaki Numazawa vs. Takashi Sasaki (Fluorescent Lighttubes Shrine / BJW 12/03) I really liked the setup for this match. Instead of having hundreds of single lighttubes there were just a couple of huge lighttube clusters surrounding the ring. So they had a normal wrestling match and used the lighttubes only for the big moves. Still very sick with all the broken glass covering the canvas. Technically as good or even better than their first match, but it lacked in psychology.
2. Takashi Sasaki vs. Abdullah Kobayashi (200 Lighttubes & Kenzan / BJW 03/31) Great deathmatch, nonstop action from bell to bell. Abby is nuts, biting lighttubes in half, headbutting packs of them into his opponents head etc. This match made me respect Sasaki even more. He's had nails stuck in his friggin' skull and just keeps on going for another ten minutes. An amazing display of fighting spirit. Not my favorite match of '06, but a close 2nd.
1. Jaki Numazawa vs. Takashi Sasaki (200 Lighttubes Cage +Alpha / BJW 06/26) One of the best deathmatches I've ever seen. Sasaki is portrayed as the superior wrestler here, while Numazawa is the unpredictable madman who tries everything in his power to win. Also some amazing spots involving the cage.

-Jaki Numazawa vs. Takashi Sasaki (200 Lighttubes Cage +Alpha / BJW 06/26)
There is also the whole Sekimoto/Tanaka feud which was VERY nice as well. I will get some recent BJW shows pretty soon, so I will finally be able to watch Sasaki/Numazawa 12/3/06. ( I hate watching wrestling on my pc).

1st off I wanna say what up to all the peoples in here that finally have a place to kick back and chat about BJW right ..... now I got that outta the way my pic would be ..... Numazawa vs Sasaki -- 200 Tubes, Cage, Alpha (06/26) for me nothing came close to this in 2006 ..... showed this to acouple of my mates who had seen ..... and for the most part grown tired of american style death matches ..... it took me a fair bit of convincing to get them to give it a chance ..... but they all agreed that if more death matches was like this then the style would be alot more respected than it is today ..... big bumps & the back and forth action combined with Numazawa's awesome will to win no matter the pain made this one of if not my favourite death matches of all time (and i'm as big a mark for death matches as there is out there) totally fucking awesome ... lots of rematches please guys ;D

Oh you are absolutely right buddy!
The main problem with today's American Death Matches is that most of the wrestlers, who are doing it( didnt say all of them) couldn't have a good regular wrestling match. It's more or less a freak show like Jackass. Moreover, a fair amount of them have a shitty shape, so the only reason they are in the "business" is because they are willing to take hardcore bumps.
BJW wrestlers, however, have good shapes; you can see they look as wrestlers. You could remove the lightubes during a match, especially in their tag matches, and you would see a great wrestling match with an end ala All Japan in the 90s. Death matches here have been stereotyped to the big fat guy who has barely any talent than mutilating himself or saying words like " fuck" or "c'mon! harder piece of shit" 89294828 times.
Welcome to the forum btw:)

What about non-Deathmatch stuff? I heard these matches were pretty good:
Daisuke Sekimoto/Abdullah Kobayashi vs. Mammoth Sasaki/Shadow WX - BJW 1/27/06 Masato Tanaka/Tetsuhiro Kuroda vs. Daisuke Sekimoto/Yoshihito Sasaki - BJW 3/31/06 Kensuke Sasaki/Katsuhiko Nakajima vs. Daichi Kakimoto/Daisuke Sekimoto - BJW 5/5/06 Katsumasa Inoue/Hiroyuki Kondo vs. Shadow WX/Mammoth Sasaki - BJW 3/31/06 TAKA/Kanemura/Kuroda vs. Asian Cougar/Mammoth Sasaki/Shadow WX - BJW 2/4/06
I just watched 06-26-06 - Daisuke Sekimoto, Katsumasa Inoue & Hiroyuki Kondo vs. Kintaro Kanemura, Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Mammoth Sasaki and 07-14-06 - Kintaro Kanemura, Masato Tanaka & Tetsuhiro Kuroda vs. Daisuke Sekimoto, Hi69 & Katsumasa Inoue. Those matches were pretty good regular matches as well.

Those matches were pretty good regular matches as well. Out of those I'd say the 3/31 match is my favorite. The 1/2 Sekimoto-Tanaka match was also lots of fun. It's nice to see that BJW not only puts on great deathmatches, but also has a really entertaining midcard.

^^^^^ Is that the one with the long black cages and the thumbtack filled lighttubes?
If so, that would be my top match, as I was impressed with both mens performance, and the amount of blood was always perfect. There was just enough spots to make it a five star match.
