What would be your favorite?
Mine would be czw tournament of death, imo it is the most violent and entertaining. It also ties storylines into the tournament unlike other tournaments. Also because they are run outside which I absolutely love.
2. Masters of Pain - Very good tournament, it is a close second due to the fact that the matches have no story to them.
3. King of the Deathmatches - This one is up and down every year. Last years was awesome, this years sucked.
4. Double Death - Tag Team death tournament doesnt really work well because it is kinda like two matches happening at once since the 4 guys split off into 2 separate brawls. Not enough team work is utlilized if you ask me.
5. Carnage Cup - Decent, but the atmosphere and the 37 people in the crowd ruins it for me.
Queen of the DeathMatches- Although it is now retired, I actually wish it hadn't. Not really that good but really entertaining.

This years TOD had a story yes, but other than that their hasn't been much in several years, so I'll say Masters of Pain, mainly because of the International star power, along with great matches, never before seen matches, and different gimmicks besides Fans bring the weapons and shit. Also 2008's KOTDM wasn't awful but it was far from awesome.

Well I guess it wasn't awesome compared to any of the MOPs or TODs, but compared to some of the other KOTDMs I thought it was, or maybe I thought it was awesome just because it was outside. If Masters of Pain was outdoors and had at least one storyline tied in, then it would probaly be my favorite. But for some reason the Tournament of Death has always entertained me more although I do like some of the gimmicks that MOP comes up with.

MOP will never have story lines because IWA-EC runs less than once a month. Plus, this is American death match wrestling, story lines are almost never tied in. The US focuses more on the violence than anything else, for the sake of violence. There hasn't been any major DM tourney in the US that I can remember having legitmate story lines involved for the actual death match participants.
That being said, each tournament has it's up and downs. Some years, KOTDM & TOD just totally suck. MOP has been consistently good with exciting matches, international talent & new gimmicks. However, the finals of '07 were just terrible, I never want to see Brain Damage vs. Deranged again, they can't work together worth a shit.

Well this years TOD had a decent storyline with Gage and Deranged going into their first round fire match. It also had some stuff with the Switchblade conspiracy and the dragons and also brain damage. Although the storylines are not very good, they are unlike KOTDM where it is so easy to tell the two participants are working together and dont want to actually hurt each other.
Another reason I like TOD is because they dont wear shirts!!!!!!!! KOTDM this year had just about everyone wearing one or two shirts which is fucking retarded. MOP last year had about half of the participants wearing shirts.(Juggs, Pondo, Necro, and kinda Drake) but still much better than KOTDM.
Finally I like the TOD crowd much better. They pop a lot more and are not afraid to speak their mind, KOTDM and MOP crowd are more respectful but still dont pop enough.

Fuck that, Alot of Wrestlers wear or have worn shirts in Death matches before, theres nothing wrong with it, I mean the barbed wire, tacks and glass can and do go right through the shirt, but they dont get as badly cut or have less of a risk of getting fucked up bad. why dont internet schmucks realize that these guys are human beings and they have a life outside of wrestling and maybe they dont want to be sitting around all the time with infections and open wounds all over their body, people think that these guys live for wrestling and wrestling only and don't have to wake up in the morning and go to a shoot job, i don't know about you, but I'd prefer to go to work without several gashes on my back and chest.

Well see I understand why they do wear shirts, if I was forced to wrestle a deathmatch I would wear one too. But the fact when I see someone not wearing a shirt it draws me more to watch them because of the increased risk on their body. The more risk their is in a deathmatch, the more exciting it is most of the time. Its like this, you see a whole bunch of guys w/ no shirts really fucking each other up, and then you a whole bunch of guys doing the same kind of spots, but wearing shirts. I am naturally going to be more drawn to the guys not wearing shirts.
Let me get one point straight, I have respect for deathmatch wrestlers whether or not they wear a shirt, if they were smart, they would all wear shirts. But wrestlers w/o shirts in a violent match I simply find more exciting.
