I have noticed that this board has been pretty quiet so I thought I would try to create some interesting discussions on it.
What do you think deathmatch wrestling will be like in the future? In 5 years? 10 years?
Since it has changed so much since ten years ago(mostly due to the introduction of lighttubes) how will it change over the next 10 years.
5 years I think deathmatch wrestling wont change that much over the next five years. I do know for a fact that IWA Mid South wont be around but im sure CZW will still be kicking. I think the product will be even more violent than right now and some new weapon will evolutionize the product. IWA East Coast will probaly be around competing with CZW as the top USA deathmatch promotions. Nick Gage will be still wrestling but people like Danny Havoc and Brain Damage probaly wont be around. Im sure BJW will be stronger than ever once they figured out to not use as many lighttubes. I dont think any new promotions will become popular.
10 years I think deathmatch wrestling will be totally different in 10 years. I think the product won't be as violent and will have a lot more bans from athletic commissions unfortunately due to the fact that I predict someone will die during an american deathmatch within 10 years(probaly gage). I think czw wont exist in 2014 but some new deathmatch company will rule the states. IWA East Coast will probably be around but just as popular as it is now. I honestly dont know about BJW though.
thanks

If BJW isn't around in 10 years, I can guarantee you that CZW and IWA-EC won't be around either. In fact, I will go so far as to say that death match wrestling will not be around in 10 years because of restrictions and unpopularity in the media.

Im guessing it won't be allowed in the USA anymore but hopefully it will still be allowed in japan.
It would be awesome if BJW would pull a dragon gate in the future and create a US sister promotion of deathmatch wrestling but that obviously will never happen most likely.

i think czw will still be around , and if it is , i think in 10 years it would be more ultraviolent because new things would have been invented into the world
